This true antique bodhi seed mala was purchased directly by the DharmaShop team in Kathmandu. This mala features beautifully small bodhi seed beads around 10mm in size! Made of 108 small, well used dark bodhi beads with. Each bead is rich in color with a beautiful sheen as well as its own shape and texture. Mala has been restrung in recent years on bold red cord with traditional tied ends. These dark-speckled seed beads have special meaning for all seekers of divine wisdom. "Bodhi" in Sanskrit means enlightenment; as an "enlightened" seed, many practitioners use these malas for their essence and inherent teachings within each seed. This mala comes from our DharmaShop curated collection. It was hand selected from an antique bodhi seed seller just outside of the Boudhanath temple.
