Shading is a great art skill to learn! Once you understand how much pressure to put on your pencil, your drawings will look amazing!
PDF File includes:
1 page of instructions for this exercise, another page with a colour and greyscale image of the tennis ball to be drawn plus a link to the video where Mrs Red demonstrates how to do a Tonal Scale.
What you need for this project:
A5 sheet of cartridge paper is perfect. You don't want your tennis to be any larger than a normal size ball. HB or 2B graphite pencil is perfect.
Age: 8+ (younger with guidance of an adult)
I have had some kids younger than 8 do this drawing. They are very quick and pencil work is pretty dark, but hey we all have to start somewhere right?
PDF will download at time of purchase.
