Chest pain: Causes other than the heart - Harvard Health

Description

Most chest pain doesn't signal a heart problem. While it should never be ignored, many conditions can trigger it. Chest pain is likely to be unrelated to the heart if it's brief, localized, triggered by eating or movement, and doesn't worsen with exercise.
