Going from a dark hair color to a light one isn't easy—and it's not usually doable in one salon visit. To illustrate this, hairstylist and salon owner Danielle Filice of Vixen Hair Salon in Los Altos, California, created an Instagram grid of Khloe Kardashian slowly lifting her hair color from dark brown to pale blond. "I try to explain to clients that there are stages to hair color," writes Filice. "I always use [Khloe Kardashian] as an example because she has done so much to her hair in the past two years." Inspired by Filice, we created a grid of our own and tapped Kardashian's stylist, Redken celebrity colorist Tracey Cunningham, for her tips on going from zero to 100 with your hair color.
