Ever had plans on visiting the beautiful waters of The Bahamas? When you do, make sure to go diving with one of the most notable inhabitants, the Tiger Shark. Tiger Sharks, scientifically known as Galeocerdo cuvier , get their names for their remarkable stripes alongside their bodies. Reaching nearly 5m/16ft in length, Tiger Sharks inhabit shallow seagrass habitats and temperate coastal areas, feeding on a variety of marine species, specializing in sea turtles. Due to the orientation of their mouths being 'square-like', compared to other shark species, it allows the shark to have such a varying diet. You can dive with these marvels during the winter months in the Bahamas and enjoy a once in a lifetime opportunity. It is an absolute honor to be able to respectfully share the space with one of our oceans' gems. Safe diving everyone and be sure to bring your cameras!Photo by: Randy Thomas
