Brass and glass medallion costume jewellery by Toronto jewellery designer Rafael Alfandary.  Born in Belgrade, Serbia (then Yugoslavia), he emigrated to Canada in 1970. Through the 1970s his jewellery was worn by a wide variety of notable personalities, including Margaret Trudeau, Muhammad Ali, Lorne Green, Redd Foxx, Paul Anka and later, the singer Prince.  Rafael created the crown for the Miss Canada Beauty Contest in 1973. Left to right:   1.  Brass and bezel set blue glass pendant, 1 1/4” (3.2cm) long by 7/8” (2.5cm) wide. SOLD 2.  Brass and bezel set orange glass hinged bangle bracelet,  $125. 3.  Brass and bezel set green glass bracelet, $165. 4.  Brass and bezel set red glass ring, $95. 5.  White metal horizontal belt buckle/vertical pendant with bezel set black glass,  3 1/2” (8.9cm) by 2 3/4” (7cm). $295.   The jewellery is displayed on a Mid-Century Danish teak nut cracker and bowl, listed online separately at DANTEA4915
