Apple slices, onion slivers and lotus root are foods commonly found in many homes. They're so common, in fact, that we don’t see them as anything else. But a pair of Japanese designers saw them as a gift of beauty from mother nature. So they decided to replicate these forms from pure brass, finishing them off with a distressed look.
The resulting series of brass household objects were named “cut piece.” From the collection, this lotus root (renkon) bottle opener adds the perfect amount of whimsy to any table setting.
Each are handmade by craftsman in Japan.
