Mondetta returns to roots – Our Communities

With the opening of the MPG on Campus store at the University of Winnipeg, the Mondetta clothing company has come full-circle, returning to the campus where their company was founded. | This will be the first North American retail store for the international clothing company, which produces activewear that is best known for its world flag-themed apparel. The store’s grand opening took place Dec. 13. | The store will function with a showroom concept, with some products available for sale in the shop so that people can get familiar with Mondetta clothing, but later buy it online, Mondetta CEO Ash Modha said. Modha said the shop is meant to test if the company can build a retail base outside of a mall environment. | “As the online commerce gets larger and bigger as the years go by, we truly believe that the mall is going to very is going to be hard-pressed and struggle for that audience,” he said.
