Even though it wasn't designed as an army knife, the army of Emperor William got to know and appreciate the qualities of the Mercator rather quickly and it fast became a military standard.The Otter Mercator model has produced in Solingen since 1995. Its form has not changed to this day and still remains a robust, quality pocket knife. This version is non-locking with a sub three inch blade so can be carried as part of your EDC with some confidence.
