Pre-Fall 2020 addresses the needs, wants, and fantasies of the Badgley Mischka customer. Mark and James spent the early Fall criss-crossing the country in a 12-city tour of stores, in a combination of local charity runway shows and dinners with their best customers. Connecting with women across the country has always been core to understanding their needs, and inspired Mark and James to create even better solutions to their wants. Colors & prints inspired by the Bloomsbury Group – deep evergreens and mulberry, plum and cassis; watery forests and dewy flowers – are rendered in weightless georgettes and crepes, shimmery Mikado and re-embroidered laces. Silhouettes range from romantic garden gowns to sharply-draped cocktail shakers, with a focus on fabric manipulation and textured beading treatments.
