To receive your certification you must complete Levels 1-3, during Level 2 and Level 3 you will be taught how to identify patients at risk, plan for proper diagnostic pathway, and provide oral appliance therapy for your patients.
This course will introduce dentists to sleep disordered breathing and its clinical manifestations related to dentistry. Dentists who complete this course should be confident in identifying the disease, discussing OSA with their patients, and sending high value referrals to access multi-disciplinary care for their patient.
Dentists will receive didactic and clinical training, on examining and assessing a patient for sleep-disordered breathing, identifying and reviewing medical and sleep history, appropriate intervention selection, appropriate dental appliance selection, proper appliance delivery.
This course builds on OSA Level 2 by further exploring the clinical management of sleep disordered breathing. Dentists who complete this course should be confident in providing dental interventions for patients with sleep-disordered breathing without significant comorbid diseases.

Level 1 - Level 3 training must be completed within 12 months of registering for course.
The University of Alberta does not award nor guarantee the number of CE credits earned, Letters of Attendance must be submitted to your regulatory authority who will issues CE credits.
